The relationship between language and gender has long been the research topic. It is of general interest in sociolinguistics. The researches on gender-differenced language have made achievement. With the growth and the development of the fem social movement in the 1960s, western scholars and sociolinguists have done many researches on the gender-differentiated use of language. In recent years, the study tends to cross the disciplines and subjects. Gender-differentiated use of language is linked with vocational language study and the research in combining the female language with the professional tour guide language remains a relatively new topic. It is because we overlook the important role. The gender language plays in the tour guide's job performance. In the tourism industry, women account for the great majority of the tour guides. Therefore, it is necessary to make a study of the female tour guide language. This paper centers on three main aspects: (1) the author points out the general image of female tour guides; conducting the questionnaire survey among the tourists, male and female tour guides respectively to get an overall assessment of the women tour guides. The survey indicates that male and female tour guides are different in language use. Female tour guides in Guilin are chosen as the research object in this article because Guilin is a famous tourist city. (2) Tourists'evaluation shows that the main reason for the popularity of female tour guides is the unique linguistic characteristics of female tour guides and it reveals the relationship between female language and tour guide language. The female language has its own advantages in conducting tour guides (mainly from the nature of female language: affectionate, iconicity, interaction skill, euphemism and body language); the weak points mainly lie in the requirements of tour guide language for humor and concision. The author chooses the corpus from the textbook of tour guides language, the relevant papers and the books on the characteristics of female language and the author has also collected first-hand data on tour guide language. (3) Based on the analysis, the author discusses the reasons for this phenomenon, including psychological factors, power and dominance, gender culture and the new trend of female language. In the analysis and discussions above, the author offers some considerations with regard to the significance of the study. On the one hand, it is useful to improve the quality of tour guides language, taking advantage of the female language, avoiding or reducing the inadequate aspects. On the other hand, with the development of society, the language features of male and female can be complementary to be more beneficial to their own career's development. Finally, the author points out that it is just an attempt to combine the study of female language with the tour guide language, looking forward to bringing a little enlightenment to the study of female language and occupation language.
