There are sufficient conditions for personal expression with the popularity of DV, authors don't need to consider broadcast platform, they can control the shooting process and details, and express their emotions follow one's inclinations. With DV, the authors of self-documentary film don't need to hide their intimate relationship with the film, and don't to pretend absent when the event occurs. They shot themselves and their family, the authors are not just only photographers,but also event participators and promoters, the documentary of this sort record the reflection of family life,as well as the contemplation of the entanglement of life and social environment change reaction just like a diary. This faithful, extreme privacy record method is a break through to the previous documentary, it has a strong subjective emotional and psychological experience. With a obvious self reflective style, self-documentary retain the faithfully observation of observational documentary, it also strengthen the participation of authors, this kind of participatory observation is close to the essence of truthe, and is a deep self introspection. Therefore, the photographer can even play the leading role fully to excavate "real", the audience can obviously feel the film production process, they even can see the figure, who participate, control, and commute with the main characters in the film. Meanwhile, the producers allow viewers to judge films to look at their own videos, it will strengthen the review of the meaning system. It forms a strong self-examination, reflection style of the film, and the objective "truth" will conquer the audience.The real of the self-documentary is a real of being driven, and this gives us a lot of thinking, such as how do we determine which is the subject done, which is the photographer and the subjects do together. Does the author would deliberately take the time to wait for some phenomenon they can predict? So how do we tell which is a Posing, which is a snapshot? the Boundaries of the real bring us thinking of the power of the photographer.The author's understanding of the true concept will perform directly as Shooting motivation and Shooting process. If documentary over-expose privacy because of the so-called real, or over-intervent to express their feelings, they will certainly challenge the documentary ethics; If audience look the family issue of the documentary reflected, the privacy will be peep consumed, it inevitably cause a certain impact on the person being photographed, how will the photographer consider this issue? These problems require us to re-examine the ethics of self-documentary.This paper analyze the unique real concept of a self-documentary film through the background and context of real concept changed in documentary; it also analyzes exploration of dominant expression the self-documentary through the expression of self-referential techniques, and then it will plunge into the swing between truth and fiction, which reflects the ethics of self-documentary. This paper focus on ethical issues, which includes the power of photographer, the privacy of subject, lost of procession and so on.
