Most of the learners devote themselves in making overall researches into Kong Yingda and his The outhodox Exposition of the five Confucian Classics, but ignore the value of the individual language in it Therefore, the author means to research into exegesis through collecting the exegesis materials in it, expecting to get a full appreciation of exegesis and offer fresh linguistic data and theory for the research of The outhodox Exposition of the five Confucian Classics.The thesis consists of four parts:Chapter One Interpret exegesis through vocabulary. This chapter contains three points mainly, which are as follows:the exegesis methods of word, relationship between words, slanguage, present language, showing readers how Kong Yingda explains works by lexics theory.Chapter Two Interpret exegesis through pronounciation. In this chapter, the author studies the relationship between pronounciation and meaning of words, such as "the identity of pronounciation and mening of words ", "the similarity of pronounciation ", "differences between spelling and pronounciation" and so on. It supplies examples for the theory of "seaching meaning by pronounciation" and the principle of "inferring pronounciation by mening or vice versa" in Qing Dynasty.Chapter Three Interpret exegesis through grammar. In this chapter, the author discusses how how Kong Yingda illustrates works from the view of syntactics and morphology.Chapter Four Interpret exegesis through rhetoric. By analysing the linguistic data from the standpoints of figures of speech and textual rhetoric, the author illustrates how Kong Yingda examines and explains the meaning of words through analysing the ancients'rhetorical devices. |
