The Study Of The Feature And Singing Style Of Nuotang Opera In Fenghuang

Fenghuang Nuotang opera was an ancient opera which originated from sacrifice and rituals of the ancient people, and it was called as living fossil. As a local opera with unique character, it became a part of people's life in which people express their affections. In recent decades researchers collected many valuable materials and published many papers and monographs in which they investigated Xiangxi Nuotang opera from the musical ethnology,original style,and the back ground of literature and culture.This paper starts with the study of humanistic cuture,geographical character,and historical background of the Fenghuang Nuotang opera.Then analyze and introduces the music style of Nuotang opera from three aspects:its melody,rhythm,and singing style, and investigate the vocalizing skills,throat-moistening features of lyric and the local folk's style of acting. This paper displays the unique artistic charming of Nuotang opera and affirms that they have the great value in arts and aesthetics.The thesis consists of four chapters altogether. Chapter one gives an account of the Fenghuang overview and the origin of the formation of Nuotang opera of Fenghuang from humanities and geography. Chapter two introduces and analyzes the classification,roles,clothes,mask,stage scenery of Nuotang opera.In chapter three, the main characteristics of vocal music and instrumental parts were investigated.The last chapter investigates and analyze the existing troupe of Nuotang opera, elucidates and prospects the protection and succession on Nuotang opera.However, there is a crisis the Nuotang opera have to face now, because the culture ecology has changed, the youth don't like to see Nuotang opera. As artistic workers, our main business is to rescue, protect, inherit and develop the ancient opera. Things owned by a nation should be shared by the world, in order to improve the culture of mankind and develop our local folk's culture, it is important to show our "living fossil" to foreigners and promote the communication of national culture between china and the world.
