's Imaginative Renaissance Of "the Great Literature" Over A Ten-year Period

The revison of magazine was a significant event of the intellectual society in the 1990s,it allowed intellectuals/wriers tochoose a miscellaneous literary style which was hard to define to comment on the real questions of the society, thus leading them away from the bound of pure literary or pure academic writing to "lower the literature down to the ground". The writers can resume their sympathy for the society even though the literature has been oppressed by the market.Due to the "argument between the New Left and Liberal ", once was deemed as the chief position of the "New Left" intellectuals. However, was far more complex than it.For example,the articles in the column named "Writers'Standpoint" had more commonness than the distinction between the two parties. This kind of writing,in my opinion, is the renaissance of "the great literature". We can't view " the great literature " simply as the a breakthrough to the bounds of literary genres, it's kind of confirmation of the act of writing, and it wouldn't come from a kind of in-position viewing. Instead, the standpoint of literature could only comes from the encounter with politics.During this encouterment, a writer have to sustainly dening and self-questioning to select the standpoint of literature and his/her own indenty. This would be the most comprehensive and energetic part of "the great literature". Takeuchi Yoshimi (1910-1977), his research on Lu Xun and early modern Japan has enlighted me of this.I would try to seize the sprit of "the great literature" based on the magazine's texts.The thesis focuses on the texts of " Writers'Standpoint " of this ten years,try to trace the intellectuals' standpoints,the themes and style of this articles,and find the organic relations between these texts and the society realities. It will enable us to grasp the current connation and function of literature, also we can trace the changes of intellectuals' function and self-position.The first chapter reviews the process of's foundation,its editing ways and column settings. The second chapter focuses on the proceedings of literature theories and current reseach on the great literature.I would refer to Takeuchi Yoshimi's research on Lu Xun and deem the "repellency of literature" as the core of renaissance of "the great literature". The third chapter would deal with " Writers' Standpoint" and search for the commonness of their writing. In The Forth chapter, i would analyse the texts of the arguments on "issues concerning agriculture and underclass", reveals the sprit of literature which was based on the reality,but went far more than that.. The last part talks about the writing style that< Tianya> advocates and put it into practice,then we could see what it means for the current culture system.
