Study On Models Of Chinese Characters Teaching In TCSL/TCFL

Since Chinese characters bear their own characteristics which are different from the phonetic system, Chinese characters teaching has been long considered as a difficult point in TCSL/TCFL. In the new century, the development of Chinese Language world-promotion, the application of new ideas in the field of second language teaching and the further popularity of Internet technology and multimedia technology have brought new demands and changes to Chinese characters teaching in TCSL/TCFL. Under the new situation, analyzing and researching on the models of Chinese characters teaching or improving the existing models or building new models so as to improve the efficiency of Chinese character teaching and realize a balanced development between oral and written ability is an important issue that we should solve urgently.In this paper, on the basis of summarizing and analyzing the achievement in the field of Chinese characters teaching (especially empirical research achievements) over past decade,it combs the existing models of Chinese characters teaching in TCSL/TCFL, analyze and evaluate them on the basis of the conclusion from research achievements and provide suggestions for their improving. In addition, under the premise of studying the support and challenge of Chinese character teaching from the development and popularity of new technology, it inspires us to construct and improve the Chinese character teaching models in the new technology era.
