Research On The Festival Narrative In Dream Of Red Chamber

The "Dream of Red Chamber" is the greatest of the ancient Chinese Narrative Literature. There are many Festival Narrative texts in the "Dream of Red Chamber ". Festival Narrative text of "Dream of Red Chamber" is the object of study in this article. This article related to the Lantern Festival in Chapter18, Grain in Ear Festival in Chapter27-28, New Year in Chapter53-54, Ching Ming Festival in Chapter58, Mid-Autumn Festival in Chapter75-76, etc.This article uses a series of concepts and theories of Classical Narrative to analyze the "Dream of Red Chamber" at two levels of narrative and story of festival narrative text. Narrative level studies on the festival narrative discourse and the festival narrative perspective. Story level studies on the constitute of festival situations and the link of festivals and story layer. The festival narrative discourse analyzes departing from the mode analysis. I found traces of culture from the composition of the mode and tried to explain the relationship between the mode and culture in festival narrative texts of "Dream of Red Chamber". The festival narrative perspective analysis investigate Chapter18. Chapter27～28 and Chapter53 with festival cultural connotation. The constitute of festival situations analysis starting from the functional level to analysis the link between narrative and story layer include static factors analysis and dynamic factor analysis. The link of festivals and story layer" analysis people cluster model and the links between plot set and festival events, involved the "people" and "plot" of the story level.In the analysis process, we focus on the festival culture is closely related with the narrative form. We found the festival narrative form contain traditional Chinese culture, especially festival culture. On the other hand, festival cultural properties also affected the narrative form In-depth, and the crash of festival culture and narrative form deepen thematic meaning of the "Dream of Red Chamber".
