Since The 20th Century, The National Character Of Chinese Art Songs Feature

"Art Songs" is one type of vocal art genre, after years of precipitation, its unique technique of expression, form of structure and lyrical charm, laid it an irreplaceable position in the vocal art.The unique charms of Chinese art songs are embodied in the compatibility and construction of two different cultures,the national character of its features is its internal factors to be vital eternally.The early 20th century, art songs, a kind of music genre, was spread from Europe into China.By Chinese composers and singers hardworking more than a century, this musical art genre was rooted in Chinese culture background at last.While being in the tradition of foreign composition techniques and singing methods, it did not give up inheriting and developing the nation's outstanding traditional music culture. Only art songs with Chinese national characteristics can be called the true sense of the Chinese art songs.This study, based on the research of domestic and foreign experts and scholars and artistic practice, was divided into four chapters.Chapter I is the introduction, which included the main presentation on the topic, research purpose and significance of the study methods and elaborated study status quo.Chapter II summarized the historical origins of art songs, including summing up the art song as well as the concept of Chinese art songs, outlining the development process of the 19th-century German and Austrian art songs, and focusing on an overview of 20th century Chinese art songs as well as its contribution and role in the history of the development process.Chapter III explained nationality characteristics of the 20th century Chinese art songs, this chapter is the core part of the paper,which summarized and elaborated China's national character feature of art songs mainly from three aspects of the lyrics, music, singing.Chapter IV displayed the meaning of the Chinese art songs the 20th century Chinese art songs in the vocal singing and teaching,including its contribution and significance to the singing, teaching and dissemination.
