Chiang kai-shek is a key person in the history of the Republic of China. Chiang Kai-shek returned to power in 1928, it began relying on its central authority of the national government's unified plan, and the warlords became the first object to be solved. With the deepening of Japanese aggression, and the impacts of the Chinese Communist armed and other domestic and international factors; in order to unify the country, Chiang took different strategies on the warlords from 1928 to 1937, the decade. But so far there is no specilized research of his dealing with the warlords during this ten years. This paper acorrding to recently public,'Chiang Kai-shek Diaries','Chiang Kai-shek archive's Biography manuscript', and other latest historical data, trying to make a preliminary investigation of this topic.This article is divided into three parts, that are, Chiang Kai-shek took different strategies under the different backgrounds. Firstly, it introduces that Chiang kai-shek takes the positively main attacktive strategy on the warlords at the beginning of him came to power. This part includes the situation in and out of China, Chiang's internal claims, the beginning of the implementation of intenal policy, and the rebounce of Guixi on Chiang's policy which contains five aspects, the war of crusade against Gui,the continuation of the implementation of intenal policy, the war of crusade against Feng, the focus of the implementation of intenal policy, and the war of the central plains. Secondly, it introduces that Chiang Kai-shek takes the passively defensive strategy. This part includes the abrupt of the situation at home and abroad, the beginning of compromise policy, Chiang uses the principle of'interal stability'as the domestic-led, and the challenge of FuJian Incident on Chiang's policy and Chiang's response, the change of the situation in North China, and the adjustment of the the north warlords'relatinship. Thirdly, it intrduces the main attactive strategy that Chiang takes on the warlords again.Iit from the following four aspects, the changes of the situation between home and abroad, the the re-adjustment of the local factions, the death of HuHanmin, the suppression of the Guangdong and Guangxi, the aftermath and the influence of the Xi'an Incident.
