He was a leader in the modernist and a hot figure in the history of Chinese poetry. Dai Wangshu strived to explore the technique of expression for the rhythm of all his life. He made every effort to create the new poetry. They not only have the classical beauty as regulated verse, but also have the free beauty as free verse.93 poems reflect his practice in the rhythm art of Chinese& Western poetry.Dai Wangshu was greatly influenced by classical poetry and Western poetry. He applied different techniques of expression into poetry's creation. Poetry emotion fluctuated with the ups and downs of rhythm. This paper particularly studies the poetic theory and typical poetry. It explores the characteristics of the rhythm of poetry in the terms of speech rhythm, spoken rhythm, emotional rhythm and external rhythm. Therefore, the important position of Dai Wangshu's poetry in Chinese poetic rhythm history is obvious.Partâ… :Dai Wangshu was best known for the beautiful speech rhythm. It mainly manifested in several aspects:Regular breaks, symmetrical syllable, inflectional tone and harmony rhythm.
