The printmaking of Ming and Qing dynasties is the most glorious era, not only in Chinese history, but also in the world, this paper aims on the basis of previous studies to further explore its own law of prints and artistic value, to guide the understanding and writing of painting. Woodcut which has thousands of years' tradition, the character of literati painting and residential painter of fine move, the truth and live folk art, is a precious cultural heritage.On the study of Ming and Qing Dynasties of this article, the writer strive to work itself from the prints as a starting point to study the characteristics of the Ming and Qing print visual language and its development path. Furthermore, the writer not only cardings the prints of the Ming and Qing history and the overview of its study, but also focus on the Ming and Qing prints analysis of visual language. From the line, form, black and white, color and other basic elements, the writer analyzes the characteristics of the Ming and Qing art prints and explores its artistic value. This article concoudes eight modes of composition in creating a visual language of printmaking of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and meaning in the organization of writing and other aspects are described in order to provide the creation of paintings with some reference and lesson in its form, content, conception and methods of expression.
