The Study On Rhetoric Of The Scholars

Based on the previous study, this paper researches "The Scholars" deeply from the perspective of rhetoric, concludes the main use of the 16 kinds of figure of speech: ask, repeatedly, metaphor, quote, copy drawing, by generation, euphony, analogy, antithesis, parallelism, contrast, loop, thimble, exaggeration, taboo, irony. We describe in detail the terms of each of speech, grammatical features and expression of the effect on their frequency of use,count the number of statistics, and compare figures of speech with the same kind of speech in modern Chinese. We believe that ask, metaphor, antithesis are the most used of figures. After the comparison with Mr.Huang Borong and Liao Xudong's "Modern Chinese", we point the figures common using in modern Chinese,fresh using in "The Scholars", common using in "The Scholars",fresh using in modern Chinese. And summerised the characteristic.We hope that this writing can help the readers enhancing understanding of the depth about " The Scholars ", while contribute comparative study of modern Chinese language.
