Since a man was born, he is destined to grow up, but in the process of growth, he will inevitably be influenced by various factors, such as society, education, environment, and even the gender, etc. These factors will naturally stay in his mind, which can hardly be erased. In other word, they are imprints. They will accompany our growth imperceptibly.Everyone has unique feelings to his own life experience, thus creating different understanding of the individuals for contemporary artists. As a result, unique personality is formed and works of personal style appear.Personal way of understanding will be invisibly brought into the art creation process. This is the kind of deep-rooted thing that won't change. Thus, to figure out the artist's intention of creation will be very helpful for understanding the art works. The thoughts and intentions of the artist have an important role for the exponents who want to explore the meaning of the works. Every artist has his own understanding for his works, which is the personal understanding. Some of the artists are very clear and insightful to express what to do, how to do, and why to do. As an artist, what the meanings of the works are and what he wishes to express to the viewers are very important. We can learn from the artists themselves about the actual information of their works, and this is the only channel. For the artist, the personal means of performance is not brought when he was born. In other words, the artist's personality in painting is not only related with the individual educational environment, family background, upbringing experience and many other factors, but also has a close relationship with his gender, race, cultural identity. If in a broader context, the society, the era, the ethnic cultural environment, the social circumstances, and the historical missions can affect the formation of an artist's personality. China's contemporary art began to activate in the late 1970s, and turned into diversity in the 1990s. The artistic linguistics gradually became mature. Thus, only those artists who are with distinct personality will be recognized, not just their national culture. It is noteworthy that the use of various factors on the social level to construct the artists'personality will unwillingly have an impact for this personal statement. Objectively speaking, each artist as an individual has his unique personality.
