From the perspective of religion and culture, this dissertation compares the financial system differences of China with that of the UAE.This dissertation firstly explains how the impact of religious culture on a country's economic development and the formation of financial system. Then it compares direct financing market and indirect financing market of China with that of the UAE which has different religious and cultural backgrounds. The development degrees of direct financing markets in these two countries are similar, basically have reached a weak validity. Due to the unique nature of Islamic finance, the UAE's indirect financing market has a higher stability and operational efficiency than China's. However, by the end of 2009, debt crisis set off in Dubai. This dissertation makes a case analysis of the crisis, and concludes that the occurrence of the crisis dose not have a direct correlation with the Islamic financial system.
