Study On Self-realisation Philosophy Of Bhaskar

Roy Bhaskar, the founder of Critical Realism School, is really a lively, creative British philosopher. He clearly puts forward the philosophy of self-realization in his book " From East to West:Odyssey of a Soul " for the first time. He thinks the philosophy of self-realization as the inheritance and development of "dialectical critical realism ", therefore, he gives it kind of transcendence and calls it "transcendental dialectical critical realism ". The philosophy of self-realization is a new philosophy which transcends the duality of idealism and materialism and the division of East and West. In view of the novelty and innovation of the philosophy of self-realization, this paper will analyze and discuss from the following aspects.Firstly, this paper will sort out the development of "critical realism" thought, which reveals the originality of the philosophy of self-realization; secondly, this paper will introduce the main contents of the philosophy of self-realization and account of the ground-state theory, the theory of cosmic envelope, the theory of transcendental identity, the theory of co-presence, the theory of universal self-realization etc, meanwhile, this paper explicates the general four features of reality:the ontology of reality, the negativity of reality, the totality of reality and the activity of reality, all of which thereby demonstrate the innovation of self-realization philosophy; thirdly, this paper will describe the relationship between self-realization and the society, and indicate the logical and causal conditions of realizing freedom from the "individual" self-realization to the "general" self-realization; fourthly, this paper will compare the view of human liberation between Marx and Bhaskar, then reveal the significance of this eternal theme; at last, this paper will look ahead the human vision and universal picture which are described by the philosophy of self-realization, then indicate the inspiration of social construction and human development brought by the philosophy of self-realization.
