The Study On The Discourse Function Of "Shenzhi"

The essay studies on the discourse function of"shenzhi"in conjunction and pragmatics with related discourse analysis theories, which based on the study of its syntax and semantics.First,"Shenzhi"combines the functions of conjunction and adverb. We divided all the sentences with"shenzhi"into two kinds according to the semantics of its conjunctions: Kind a with the semantic base of"comparison +increasing +extreme", Kind b with the semantic base of"emphasis+comparison".Second, we study on the logical base, semantic modes, semantic characters and relations on this word. The relations of increasing is the logic base , and the semantic modes is combined with complete mode, comparatively complete mode and simple mode.Third, we introduce some related discourse analysis theories and give definitions to discourse, discourse analysis, textual conjunction, coherence and conjunction.Fourth,"shenzhi"are used as a textual conjunction by repeated usage and appearance with other conjunctions of increasing relation. We study on its appearance, methods of conjunction, movement and related factors, presupposition and context. The semantic, special function of expression of subjectivization decides it's discourse function.Fifth, the pragmatic function of"Shenzhi"includes logical conjunction, indicating focus, expression of subjectivization and using as textual or personal themes.
