Su Tong, as a "story-telling players", attracts many readers and is approved, especially in the time when literature and film are extensive linked. The shy man becomes a hot person in the film directors'eyes. After finishing reading Su Tong's novels, my soul has been shocked strongly, especially by the theme of death in his description. As a literary theme, death also appears in a large number of Su Tong's works, So I want to study Su Tong's works from"death".This study regards the theme of the death of Su Tong's novels as the breakthrough point, and combines an overall study to overview the death of his novels. It analyses several models of death, his attitude toward the theme and the reason. It expatiates the relationship between the author and his works by combining his background and status and his philosophy of death from philosophic level.This article is divided into the following parts: the preface is about the meaning of death in the world created by Su Tong. Chapter one analyses his creative motivation that includes childhood experience and his social background from the relationship between the author and his works. The second chapter analyses the mode of death and reasons and generalizes three modes, namely, suicide, murder, abscondence or accidental death. Chapter three argues about the characteristics of death from family ethic and image. It studies the special meaning of death from family ethic which includes the relationship between father and son, husband and wife, brother and sister. The image includes material and color images.Chapter four is about the comment of the theme of the death. The conclusion is about the change of theme from death to beautiful love.
