From "Tao","De" In "Lao Zi" To "Tao De" In "Yi Zhuan"

The essential concept of the traditional Chinese philosophy is Tao.I do agree with that Tao of Confucianism and Taoism in the pre-Qin days which is an isolated identity in itself, viz, it has nothing to do with person and things, itself is a kind of creating substance or thing-in-itself, and as a starting point. By analyzing the texts of "Lao Zi" and "Yi Zhuan", because there are metaphysical constructions and descriptive explanations about "Tao" in these two texts; and combining some arguments in the western knowledge background nowadays, such as, the delimitation of "should be " and "actual be", etc, I concluded that the two system("Lao Zi" and "Yi Zhuan")both are the explanations about the same creating "Tao". By analyzing the concepts of "Tao" and "De" in "Lao Zi" and "Yi Zhuan", This thesis try to show the differences between these two system, and hope to get some connections between these two systems, clarify some misunderstandings and diravications which come from the mistakes that use foreign languages to translate the traditional Chinese philosophical concepts nowadays.The thesis begin with the concepts of "Tao " and "De" in "Lao Zi". Firstly. after analyzed "Tao" , I believe that ,as the creating substance ,Tao, Lao Zi gave it a absolutely prioritied position, just in order to show this one "Tao" out, and then appeared the concept of "All of World" in Taoism. By analyzing the concept of "De", I consider that "Tao " and "All of World " have a transcended relationship of un-intrinsic; and "De "is a belt which connect the "Tao " and "All of World", from this point, Tao can transcend the "All of World". Because the relationship of "Tao " and "De", Lao Zi gave up the "Positive" doing in his thought system, the only "positive" tendency of Lao Zi is the reflection between wisdom and Tao. If we want to get close Tao, we should do passive "Empty our Needless Thoughts";but in the texts we can found out the "Mysterious Yearning" for the "Four Morals", that is the show of conscience, and then there is a contradiction between these two aspects, for "Lao Zi" cannot solve this contradiction, but "Yi Zhuan" has its solution, so it formed its own annotation pattern which is totally different from Lao Zi .By analyzing the sentences in the chapter 5 in "Xi Ci", such as "the connection of Yin and Yang is Tao" and some other explanations, I insist that "the connection of Yin and Yang is Tao" is the further way of the thoughts of Lao Zi; Yin and Yang is a better way to concern Tao and "All of World ",and the thoughts ,such as "show upon Ren" in Yi Zhuan .etc. have transcended Lao Zi. Yi Zhuan's "show upon Ren" have actually established the unconditional position of "the three of person, heaven and earth ".this transition has almost become the Ren into a kind of belief. the show of the heart of Ren is more important than the reflection of wisdom. In order to give prominence to this character of Yi Zhuan, I analyzed the really means of many famous sentences in the Chapter 5.what we said before as the description of identity of " Tian,Tao ,Ren,Yi".Yi Zhuan didn't give us a reason of this identity directly, but it gave us a view in "Qian Kun Zhi Neng" undirectly. I connect the nap of "Qian and Kun""Tian and Di","Tao and De",and the "Qian and Kun "is a totally new innotation toward Tao from Yi Zhuan. Tian Tao and Ren have the same "appearance", there is no recognization and judgement in it.I don't accept the requirement in the background for the western tradition, the postnatal morals has nothing to do with it .However the innatal moral in Confucianism keep the control ability over the postnatal moral, viz, the innatal moral get down into "Yi" of our life in practice, the Confucian Li Yi can settle down. However, "Yi Zhuan" is different from "Lun Yu"and "Meng Zi" so much that I insist the two aspects of Confucianism which complemented each other form a circle. "Lun Yu "and"Meng Zi " agree with the "Ren " which is actually appear , just because of this , belief in "Lun Yu "and "Meng Zi ",bring out another speaking method which is different from "Yi Zhuan". However, the thoughts of "Xin-Xing-Tian" in Confucius and Mengzi which are fit close to the "Tao-Xing-Ren " thoughts in Yi Zhuan.
