Our self-recognition is considerably affected by the constantly advancing cultures, to some extent, individuals'understandings of the surroundings seem to be limited and lagged behind because of the fast evolvement of diverse cultures. Therefore it's very difficult for individuals to comprehend the world from a holistic point of view. However, in the art of print-making, self-recognition has no limitation in spite of the single focus on only one art form, on the contrary, observation and understanding of a tiny element of an art work could open up a new vista for people to interpret things from a wide perspective. The art of print-making sticks to real life and has become an effective way for people to observe and reflect on life and face the surrounding world and ultimately face the real selves. For that reason, print-making features with contemporary realism.First section of my thesis briefly analyzes realism and contemporary realism, brings up the reflection of"self-being"in the contemporary realism.Second section introduces the contemporary quality embedded in the Chinese art of print-making and its trend of development and also expands on the difference between Chinese realism in print-making and that of the western world.Third section focuses on the method of expression and characteristics of the Chinese contemporary realism of print-making dissecting it from two angles- outer artistic pattern of expression and inner characters of the art work itself. This section also sets up examples and evidence to back up my views and comments on the main power of art creation in the new millennium- Post 80's Generation.Forth section depicts my experiences gained from creating the contemporary print-making art work and my genuine attitude towards the creation of print making and also lays out summery of my whole article... | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Chinese contemporary realism of print-making, desire of life, contemporary culture, visual experience, self-recognition, post-80's generation | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
