| The research assessed the General Big Five personality variables and the Coping Resources Inventory for Stress (short form) in 804 undergraduates.Conclusion of this research: 1). There are no significant difference in gender and major as measured by general big five scale. Students from the urban area and grade 1 had significant high score than students from the rural area and grade 2 and grade 4 in Openness. Students from the rural area and not single child had high score in Conscientiousness. Students in grade 1 had significant high score in Agreeableness. 2). The assessment of six factors of CRIS-SF in undergraduate shows that male had high score in Confidence, female had high score in Social Support. In the Social Support dimensionality, single child, grade1 and grade 4 students had significant high score when compared with others. Female had high score in Self-Directedness and the student whose major is arts had high score in Tension Control and Structuring. In the Physical Health dimensionality, grade 1 and grade 4 students had signification high score. 3). Confidence, Social Support, Tension Control, Physical Health, Self-Directedness and Structuring factors in the coping resources of stress had high subtractive correlation with Neuroticism and Openness, and had high correlation with Extraversion, Agreeableness and Conscientiousness in personality. |
