Chinese grammar forms and develops under the influence of the study in the West. With assiduous efforts of many experts and scholars have made for more than a century, today's study of modern Chinese grammar has become mature, not only in continuously absorbing advanced theories and research methods in foreign linguistics, but based on Chinese practice and own characteristics, both common and individual characteristics. However, there are still many unsettled problems, especially the phenomenon of disputes in modern Chinese grammar.Grammar disputes, mainly refers to fuzzy boundaries between two adjacent grammatical units. Some grammatical phenomena cannot be put in place, which makes us in a dilemma. Many people have given attention to such dilemma, but from different perspectives: study a specific division and classification of the adjacent units; combine the concept of semantics -- "ambiguity" and the grammatical analysis; or introduce "entangled" concept on such dilemma. In this paper, the "disputes" is selected because the dilemma is primarily due to the unclear subjective awareness. This paper is divided into six chapters, plus the introduction and conclusion.Introduction: the object of study, the scope of study, the structure of the paper and innovation are introduced.Chapter I: Overview. Introduce the status of research on Chinese grammar, to define the phenomenon of entanglement, and explain the reasons for the phenomenon.Chapter II: Morpheme, the phenomenon of disputes between morphemes and words. Sort out the concept of morpheme; sum up and explain the disputes between morphemes and words.Chapter III: Disputes between words and phrases. The chapter points out the main disputes between words and phrases, which is a dilemma of two-syllable form. We can distinguish words and phrases from several aspects, such as the standard of meaning, phonetic feature, the sense of morpheme, the extension, in particular the extension; the most prominent phenomenon of grammar in this double-syllable form is the word which can be put together and separated as well.Chapter IV: The disputes related to double-sentences. The chapter mainly analyzes the relations between double-sentences and the subject-predicate phrases used as the main objects of the sentences, double-sentences and double-object sentences, double-sentences and sentences with consecutive predicates. Meanwhile, some methods are introduced.Chapter V: Disputes between complex sentences and single sentences. This chapter focuses on how to divide such two types of sentences. Several"dilemmas"existing in complex sentences and single sentences are discussed. The author tries to solve these problems and puts forward some own opinions on tightening sentences.Chapter VI: The other grammatical phenomena. There are still many complicated"dilemmas"in modern Chinese grammar. And some issues cannot reach a consensus. Many linguists also have other solutions. At the end of the paper, the concept of"the instinctive feel for the language"and"semantic field"is put forward, which has a great impact on modern Chinese grammar.
