The Study On The Bow Technique Combine The String Vibrating Characteristics Of The Violin

The articulation is the most important technique in violin playing. The point of the bow and string, the pressure of bow and the bow speed are the basic and significant three elements of bow technique.The purpose of this study was to analyze these three elements combine the string vibrating characteristic and their relationships. The result of this study was that there are many string vibrating modes simultaneously in one sound. The main modes were horizontal vibrating, vertical vibrating and turn vibrating. The different timber was made in the situation of different vibrating modes, which was played by different bow technique. So the string vibrating characteristic was the basis of the bow technique.
