We often say the idea is the precursor of action, then for the design, culture is a leader. As an important part of culture, design contacts with various cultural elements. They are together to form an inseparable whole. In four levels of culture, the spiritual culture is the core content, which interacts with the other levels of culture. And the spiritual culture infiltrates in the material culture. The products have a "cultural" connotation when people pour the mental factors of human into the creation course of material. So, we can explore the cultural background of designers from the design activities and design products. This paper is to trace the culture through the products of design. When talking about world culture, people tend to divide it into two systems, the Eastern culture and the Western culture. However, the Islamic culture as the representative of Eastern culture and the Christian culture on behalf of Western culture, have dominated this piece of land in Spain. The unique and fascinating Spanish culture formed gradually in the process of conflicting and blending of these two different cultures.Regardless of the Antoni Gaudi who was active in the period of Art Nouveau, or Santiago Calatrava and Jaime Hayon who are famous contemporary designers, whether a large number of historic monuments, churches, mosques or graffiti in the streets of Barcelona, they all tell us the story of the country by their unique way of expression and transmit the Spanish imagination, rebellious, boldness and free. When looking, thinking, and enjoying their design, you can't find words to express the shock in the mind just want to say one word "crazy." The modern Spanish design interprets the spirit of Spain, and opens a window for us to understand the unique Spanish culture.
