Among various factors deciding the image of a modern enterprise, sign as a means of visual recognition, has most frequently occurred in the process of spreading, and Logo design has become the core of the visual recognition system. In the public mind, logo is the synonym of corporate or product brand. The key to create corporate image is to determine the symbolic sign enable to express the special character and business reputation, to establish the characteristics of the enterprise and its products, as well as to strengthen its market status. However, a large amount of modern logo designation has often focused on the form of composition and their visual impact, thus the majority of designers have followed the trend of design by blindly copying, but few of them made efforts to grasp the symbolic connotations, thus leading to lack of personality, and room for recollection. Under the circumstance of visual impact, culture is greatly needed to be integrated into logo designation.Symbol in traditional culture is the crystallization of human wisdom. Once inherited, promoted and integrated into the logo designation, it will certainly improve the cultural and social essence of the corporate. The traditional culture symbol is not only the common element of artistic creation, but also widely used in contemporary dimensional graphic design, especially in logo designation. Viewing from the aspects of graphic form, color, or even pronunciation, symbolism is adopted throughout the process, for people regard the logo itself as a symbol.The author of this paper firstly has elaborated the use of the traditional cultural symbol in the field of logo designation, followed by further explored the combination between symbol and logo designation, and then carried out a research on the important forms of symbol, and the relation between symbol and logo designation, and put forward the requirement for re-understanding and re-using symbol to make the combination more closely, so that the traditional culture symbol can be promoted and developed in logo designation, meanwhile creating a new culture of designation in the continuation of tradition.Against information globalization, the contemporary dimensional graphic designers have a great need for the basic knowledge of semiotics, and for symbol in different cultures, and master the symbol associated with the history of cultural expression. When exploring the national culture, and adopting the modern designation concept for reconstruction, we can create the novel designs which not only embody the concept of modern fashion, but also reflect the history of culture and the aesthetic concept. When we consciously inherit, adopt and upgrade traditional culture symbol, the designation culture in future will reflect the perspective, profound, unique, diversified and international.
