A Study On Professional Ensemble Handing Down Folk Dance And Music

Folk dance and music, a kind of dynamic culture originated from life experience of each ethnic group, is a carrier of ethnic historic culture and fruit of excellent art creation in long historical process, and it is rare culture heritance of human beings. For years, folk dance and music has appeared more often on the platform, and has been followed with interest. The fact that it's easily available and highly mobilized has been a potential space for development and inheritance. However, because of ecological change and numerous objective elements it has been a challenge to protect and inherit folk dance and music. In this sense, and against the trend of economic globalization, it is necessary for us to scrutinize its form of heritance from different angles and various levels.Aksu Prefecture in Xinjiang was a place of strategic importance on the ancient Silk Road. Its unique song and dance art--Qiuci and Duolang, has possessed considerable influence ever since the ancient time. Based on the art practice of the folk dance and music in Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang, and a case study on the specialized performance of song and dance troupe by Uygur members, the present thesis studies handing down and value reflection of minority dance and song on the platform by professional ensemble. The thesis is divided into five parts:Part 1 is introduction, where the significance and the status methods adopted and perspective of the study are presented.Part 2 is a general description of history and culture and the unique features of ethnic art resources.Part 3 argues that platform is an important venue for inheriting ethnic dance and song through straightening out interviews and those practical performances in the past twenty years, and a case study on the two workmanships as represent, as well as inheritance element and repercussions from audience.Part 4, based on the above analysis and the audience's evaluation on the culture content reflected in the performance and the social value it has brought, the study is to show the value that folk dance and music reflected in the performance by professional ensemble from social influence, culture, esthetic, and creative levels.The last part, the conclusion, based on the field investigation on the art practice of folk dance and music in Aksu Prefecture, we find that the platform as carrier has to be connected to reality in order to bring out its inheritance function so as to promote its value reflection; and we hold the view that the most significant point and value of its inheritance lies in manipulating the platform's superiority, so as to expand folk dance and song's environment and range, and realize the situation of sharing resources.
