Equality means equality of all people, all the rights of all ethnic groups in the equality of all ethnic groups in fact.Since ancient times, Xinjiang is a multi-ethnic areas. Strengthen national unity is to achieve long-term stability of Xinjiang's stability and an important condition for the country. National unity and ethnic equality is the basis and prerequisite conditions. Equality in the period of development in Xinjiang, to some extent, after the founding of New China for a variety of national policy formulation and implementation of the foundation.The face of a new era, in order to deal with ethnic issues in order to achieve the country's rich and powerful, the revitalization of the nation, we need the principles of equality and long-term persist in practice, in theory, continue to explore.In this dissertation, I use the traditional historical research methods, mainly comparison, analysis and research methods. It also trys to use contemporary theory to the nation on the Republic of China on the issue of ethnic equality.This article concludes that: Revolution period, Feng Temin and others people in the "vernacular newspaper Yili" made the first equality, for equality in Xinjiang to set the precedent and practice. Since then, in the whole of Xinjiang during the Republic of China, the concept of equality for people gradually understanding and acceptance of the theory of equality is also better.The practice of equality is by the legal and political spheres of life gradually to the economic, cultural, educational, and other areas of social life. In this process, equality of peoples and the meaning of place in a number of changes in the theory of equality is gradually maturing. The practice of equality in time to the work of our nation today has provided valuable experiences and lessons learned.
