Religion as a historical phenomenon, has special impact on the society. On the one hand, people's religious beliefs and needs promote the development of religion, on the other hand, religion effects in the course of development and all aspects of society. This article attempts to analyze the book "The Golden Lotus" of Ming Dynasty to introduce the influence of Taoism to social life and reproduce the development of Taoism in the Ming Dynasty.The introduction describes the basic information of "The Golden Lotus" in scholars'reseach area, including the analysis of religion factor, my research methods and significance.The first chapter is devoted to expound the Taoist concepts of "The Golden Lotus", which describes in two parts. The first part of the article analyzes and focus on the language of Taoism factors of the main characters in the book, mainly introducing the Taoism and the right and wrong of Taoist immortal concept. The second part of the book describes the magic ceremonies of Taoism, such as fight Chiu, al Doo, Shaman and divination activities for medical treatment, by comparing the historical records and modern research to restore the Taoist developments at that time.The second chapter introduces the impact of Taoism to the social life at that time. On the one hand, Taoism has impact on the traditional Chinese festivals, for example, the Lantern Festival and Dragon Boat Festival in this book. Through the origin and the action of these two festivals to analyze the influence of Taoism to the major festivals in China. On the other hand, I analyze the impact of Taoist rites to the social life. Taoism plays a very important role in the ancient society from birth to death, from beginning to the end of the human who seeks for safe and happy .Taoism gives more and meets the spirit requirement of people during their life.The third chapter mainly analyzes the position of Taoism in the social life. On the one hand, the development of Taoist religion is inseparable from the people's needs, the pacification function of Taoist religion in psychological adjustment makes a large number of people choose Taoist when facing the difficulties. At the same time, the rulers' support for the use of Taoism also promoted the development of Taoism. According to this development momentum, I focus on the impacts of Taoist in positive in the society.Through the study of this article, I hope to help readers understand basic situation of the society in the Ming Dynasty and the common style of life in that era. At the same time, I also hope that through "The Golden Lotus" interpretation, readers can learn more of the development of religion in the Ming Dynasty. Also we can see Taoist has the big social impact to traditional festival. Understanding of the origin and development of festivals can help us clearly and deeply to know the significance of traditional festivals. So the holiday of the traditional festivals not only mean the simple rest ,it is more important that to understand the really meaning and essence of the festivals and develop it in the modern time with new spirit.
