Searching The Interpersonal Significance Of New Year Editorials Of People's Daily From Model Verbs

Chinese society has undergone tremendous changes since the founding of the sixties,especially the reform and opening up.With the corresponding socio-economic development,China's mainstream political concept may have changed a lot.Changes in the social environment will bring about corresponding changes in interpersonal significance.Interpersonal meaning is a major focus of government and public relations because the relationship between the Government and the public a direct impact on the distribution of power,social stability and development.Between the Government and the public social life,interpersonal relationships can be reflected in many aspects,which is the most direct language.The political language and political discourse which closely related with the government has become the bearer between the Government and the people were an important means of interpersonal meaning."People's Daily" editorial in the New Year's Day in China's political discourse has a very important position,behind the discourse of the Government and the public significance of people between the more worthy of our attention.Systemic Functional Grammar in accordance with the view of the meaning of human performance as an important means of modality system,modal verbs is the most common in modality system,and Chinese modal study on the most current is on the study of modal verbs. Therefore,this article from the perspective of modal verbs to start trying to inspect "People's Daily" editorial on New Year's(1949-2008) modal verb usage in order to reveal the nation-building since the sixties,between institutions and the public whether the significant changes,as society changes.Introduction and summary In addition to outside,the paper is divided into four chapters:Introduction part explains the origin of the study,the perspective and objectives.The first chapter is in the main card of the New Year editorials and Research modal. Communication Studies,History and Linguistics have been concerned about New Year editorial,the first two disciplines is very limited,is not deep enough.Although a relatively broad linguistic perspective,the study also the relative depth,but still not comprehensive enough,especially for the study of interpersonal meaning,only limited aspects of salutation.Modal study developed,in the West,more mature,has formed a clear definition of the scope type.The study of Chinese modality is relatively weak,and mainly concentrated in modal verbs.The second chapter of this article set out the main theoretical basis of critical discourse analysis;main research method is content analysis.The third chapter is text analysis.First of all advance the question;secondly followed by a proportion of the total number of modal verbs to statistics,the proportion of modal verb types of statistics and individual statistics on the proportion of modal verbs.And for each chart,the data analyzed.The forth chapter is based on the text of the data analysis discussion.Mainly to discuss modal verbs reflected interpersonal significance of New Year editorials from the proportion of modal verbs with the attitude of the speaker,with the hearer of the discourse space,as well as the speaker with the hearer the relationship.The final chapter is a summary of the full text that got the study results and pointed out that the inadequacies of this article.
