Evaluation And Analysis Of Wei's Cogitation

Wei Liaoweng was a Neo-Confucianist who was little known in the history of Neo-Confucianism during Song Dynasty. The very feature of his thought is that based on the thoughts of"ChengZhu"and"Lu Jiuyuan"it merged with the thoughts of different Schools, and also the feature Reflected in the development of Neo-Confucianism during Song ,south Song especially.In the preface, the author mainly presents the research situation of Wei's thought and his whole life, which in order to make a preparation for the next systematic research.In the second part, through discussing the influence of Zhou Dunyi, Zhu Xi, Lu Jiuyuan and Zhang Shi on the thought of Wei by lineage, the author wants to: make the base attribute of Wei clearly; besides, analyze the direct and indirect influence of main Neo-Confucianism Schools to his thought, and then find out the origin of his thought.Based on the research of the lineage and origin of his thought, in the third part, the author valuates and analyzes the characteristics of Wei's thought, including conception of Cosmos, epistemology, and also his limitations.Through analyzing the practice and application of Wei's thought politically, the author finds the feature of Wei's thought ,which based on the"ChengZhu",absorbing the thoughts of different Schools,showing the characteristics of that time.In the conclusion, the author sticks that the research of Wei's thought will be advantageous for the transformation of the intellectuals in China of the contemporary era.
