This study adopts convenient sampling method to investigate three classes of sixth-graders at the Old City Elementary School in Zunyi.And it divides these students into the following three groups at random,group of recording good deeds,group of recording indebted visits,and group of recording emotions(the control group),aiming at measuring the promotion of elementary school students' subjective well being via different programmes of keeping indebted diarys.This experiment takes Elementary School Students Well-Being Scale as an assessment tool and uses self-compiling teaching material. The results of the experiment are as follows:1.Students of recording indebted visits significantly improve in the dimensions of self-acceptance,interpersonal concordance,life satisfaction and positive emotion.This group has the highest rate of progress and the improvement in SWB is noticeable;2.Students of recording good deeds improve in self-acceptance and interpersonal concordance dimensions while 55%of students have lower achievements in positive emotion dimension.That is to say,this group has significant improvement in self-acceptance interpersonal concordance aspects; 3.Students of recording emotions have worse feelings than pretest and they don't make noticeable progress in any aspect;4.Differences in positive emotion and life satisfaction among different groups are noticeable but differences in improvement and interaction between boys and girls are indistinctive;5.Recording indebted visits can better improve students' positive emotions and life satisfaction than another two groups.
