On this basis, his epistemology is further deepened, which is the compromise of Zhu Xi's theory of"GeWu"and Lu Jiuyuan's theory of"GeXin", holding that"GeWu"and"GeXin"is dialectical unity. In order to achieve their unity, he promotes"Respected Knowledge"and"Promoting Virtue"on methodology, which complements and improves mutually. In addition, his ideas play a crucial role in the development and dissemination of Li philosophy in Jinhua. His disciples who write books are amount to one thousand, including influential ones, Fan Zu, Hu Han, and Song Lian; and he makes contribution to its development on the sides of"the principle of rationale"and"the principle of Humanism Psychology"; moreover, he has innovated educational methodology, built upon study and annotation of"Four Books"and"the Book of Songs".Xu Qian, a significant Li philosopher in the history, inheriting and carrying forward the idea of the essence of Li philosophy in Song Dynasty , has promoted Li philosophy in Jinhua to achieve its peak; his educational activities has made Cheng and Zhu Li philosophy widely disseminated, and Study of Science Officer of the Yuan Dynasty a great role; his compromise of Zhu and Lu's philosophical ideas has affected and inspired Li philosophical ideas in Ming dynasty, characterized by ideas of Yang-Ming Thinking.
