The former academic circles also analyze Yu Dafu's novels from contents,but very few go along from the novel form.If you want to analyze his works all around,maybe the angle of narrative is a good choice.The scholor had ever said:"structural analysis is not the purpose,but one kind of method achieving success.And the purpose of studying is for people knowing the nature much better,specially appointed society."So,this thesis attempts to explore the characteristic of Yu Dafu's novels from the narrative theory angle,trying to make clear the novel form and then we can find out his novel characteristic.This thesis falls into four parts:Chapter one:the narrative time of Yu Dafu's novels.My thesis will explain the narrative time from two parts:deformed sequence and time rhythm.Yu Dafu has made use of the deformed sequence to increase the art charm.Making use of the flashback,the top narrate,a large amount of scenery and mentality depicts,the narrative time will stay at a standstill.So the reader doesn't put attention on the story plot,but follow the author's mentality,experience a peculiar feeling.At the same time,his novel has the individual characteristic on time rhythm:narrate time seems most probably free,or in proper order,or flashbackor as if naturally in careless room,but, we are able to find an author narrating under this time rhythm.The story speed tends to become slowly in the entirety,this is necessary to depict by content for being outstanding.Grasp what the author handle is my first,what i care about is the author's subjective intention and Value and significance it brings about.Chapter two:the narrative structure of Yu Dafu's novels.Yu Dafu's novels are close to intelligent,he is fond of being on the move with self emotion as the mainline when he writes,show self subjective state of mind blindly,circumstance penetrates story development in describing the scenery,expressing emotion.Yu Dafu has founded one kind of the novel style of writing spreading culture who just like some kind of prose.This novel structure highly values a mood,makes light of circumstance,and against to the tradition novel.It has a characteristic in itself.But at the same time this structure of Yu Dafu 'novels has formed certain restraint,such as the novel ,when he try to depict the story stand in the revolution position.Chapter three:the narrative pattern of Yu Dafu's novels.Yu DaN's novel adopt narrating with the inner focuses,Chinese tradition novel is all-round narrate pattern,but his narrative angle may be a big breakthroughs.In all 48 novels of Yu Dafu,mainly adopt first person narrating and third person narrate inner focuses on the pattern applies to Yu Dafu who show his ademonia and heart state description,use "my" to say the story accusing himself,strengthen the resonance with reader.At the same time,Yu Dafu also knows the limitation narrating of first person,use third relatively objective person inner to focus.The fourth chapter:the motif of soul and flesh conflict.Motif is a important implement when we study literature.Especially important when we analyse works in narrative angle.Yu Dafu is the ancestor who writes about the motif of the soul and flesh conflict in Chinese literature.He affects the entire history of literature.The soul and flesh conflict depicting a personage after Yu Dafu,has just become one kind of established writing canonical form.In this thesis,my effort is not concentrating on talking about boundary of motif,comply with two aspect of Yu Dafu's novels,A external manifestation being to analyse soul and flesh conflict in his novels, the pattern being just desire——sink——patient,to analyse the literature significance.
