On Moral Differences

Since ancient times, the issue of moral differences has been paid attention to by western and eastern ethicists, but the works which devotes to study it are few, and the research in it are scattered or tentative.Based on the results of the previous studies, the thesis is intended to have an macro-research into the topic in order to make a theoretical attempt.Moral differences are the differences of the moral values between moral Individuals, which have three main expressions :differences in ethical attitudes, differences in Moral discourse system and differences in the selection of ethical conduct. We primarily determine whether there are moral differences between the moral Individuals through these three forms .There are four resons which lead to the moral differences :the decisive function of socio-economic relations, the moral inherent tension in the actual existence, the ethical culture of the multi-view, the individual differences between Moral Individuals , of which the decisive function of socio-economic relations is the fundamental reason. Benefit is a concrete manifestation of the Socio-economic relations, therefore the difference of interest decides fundamentally on the difference of people's moral values . There is the difficulty of resolving the moral differences.However, there is a need, also possible, Refered to the existing thought resolveing moral differences in the academic circles,the article thinks we should deal with moral differences through equal sufficient dialogue. As to those moral differences that we can not resolve,we should hold a position of moral tolerance to permit the existence of differences. This will help to accommodate the virtues of publicity.There is a significant realistic meaning about researchs on moral differences,and it is helpful for understanding of moral values diversity and harmony, So that we can have a better understanding of the socialist core value system of meaning and connotation.It is also helpful for us to cultivate the virtues of tolerance and publicity,and it is better for construction of a socialist harmonious society.
