YiJiNai is a administrative units in north-west of the Yuan Dynasty.At the beginning of the last century,a large quantity of precious cultural relics was found here,especially a large number of writs written in ancient Chinese and other ethnic minority languages.This give birth to a new subject-the Heicheng study.Heicheng writs involves much content about the way of collecting,storage,and transport of food in YiJiNai.It is important and helpful for us to understand the YiJiNai Region and even the political and economic situation in northwest in the late Yuan Dynasty.This article intends to make a comprehensive investigation on this issue,which is based on the Heishui writs and other document data.The whole text is mainly divided into the following five parts.1.Through the arrangements of and research on the writs of Hequsi,and take the unique geographical environment of northwest into consideration,we can analyse the special functions of the Secretary of canals,then make a new judgment on the nature of Secretary of canals.We focus on the functions of collecting tax in grain and declaration of food output,and analyse the reasons why its functions are widened.2.On the basis of collating the relevant instruments,the study also sets on the food circulation.In the early Yuan Dynasty,the food for the YiJiNai regionmainly come from Lanzhou and Gansu Province.Then from the second year of Zhizhi,it was directly from the Ningxia Province.However,we can see from the instrument that the Hedong Pacification Commissioner's Commandery,which is Shandong Province now,is also one of the food sources.Some food also transported from Gansu Province.There is historical data in the records.3.Analyze the storehouse writs in YiJiNai Region,make a research on the functions of GuangJi Storehouse.Analyze the nature of Yubu Storehouse,and two writs on the appointment of storehouse officials.4.Starting from The documents on the Officer LiuRong's Purchase of Flour And Meat in 1364 Excavated in Heishuicheng and Sub-province also Set Out the Original Release Shipped Dispatch Regulation,relating with the relevant instruments,analyse the economic situation of YiJiNai of the late Yuan Dynasty,pointing out teat wheat at this time has the characteristics of the general equivalent,5.Summing up the above study,analyse the specificity of YiJiNai,and recognize its important position,especially its important economic status in the late Yuan Dynasty.
