The art of music and dance in tang dynasty highly developed. The cultural pattern of that time featured the characteristics of compatibility and creativity on the basis of absorbing the essence of music and dance widely both home and abroad. Among the music and dance of Tang dynasty, "Liang Zhou", "Zhe Zhi", "Ni Shang Yu Yi " have been prominent for the cause of their popularity and influence. A large number of poems about them have been preserved which reflect the cultural psychology of the litterateurs in Mid-Tang dynasty after the historical vicissitudes from prosperity to decline. The litterateurs in Mid-Tang dynasty treated the three as some kind of object in intentionality which resulted the various cultural appearances. The poets described the music and dance of the three to convey the air of joviality, or described the three as a complex object of nostalgia and criticism to entrust their care of social responsibility. With the poems on topic of the three preserved in "Quan Tang Shi" as clues, this dissertation attempts to analysis the creative work by the litterateurs in Mid-Tang dynasty from the aspect of cultural background on the foundation of abundant historical accounts of past events.Focusing on the feature of the three that integrate the fine merits of both western culture and traditional Chinese culture to acknowledge the writing of poems concerning the music and dance of "Liang Zhou", "Zhe Zhi"', "Ni Shang Yu Yi ", this paper attempts to explain the perplexity between recreation and moralization among the litterateurs in Mid-Tang dynasty from two dimensionalities of traditional thinking of educating common people by music and the lost of cultural confidence since the rebellion of An and Shi which brought about the change of Tang dynasty from prosperity to decline. Discussing the poems about the music and dance of "Liang Zhou", "Zhe Zhi", "Ni Shang Yu Yi ".we can comprehend the subtle psychological process of litterateurs in Mid-Tang dynasty so that a veritable social life of that time can been revealed.
