This research probes into the mental health level and social support, the relationship between idiosyncratic coping style characteristics by testing 118 prisoners and 43 common people, questionnaire investigation to the psychological situation of prisoners and common people. The results of this study found:(1) The psychological problems of prison staff are more serious than ordinary people. The general social support given to prison staff is significantly lower than that to the normal people. The ordinary qualities of prisoners are more positive than the normal people.(2) The mental health and understanding of social support of prisoners is significant negative correlation.(3) The mental health and idiosyncratic way of prisoners is significant positive correlation.(4) Understanding of social support and idiosyncratic way is significant negative correlation.(5) The mental health status approach and social support and coping styles is different of the prisoners who had different careers; The prisoners of different age are significant correlation with social support and negative correlation with actively.
