Divination of Confucian thought was very important in the thoughts of Han dynasty, and played a deciding role in the construction of political and culture. Nowadays, as the impotents of Chenwei literature have been found, scholars began a more careful and comprehensive study. However, some researches on particular area of chenwei were still necessary. This paper tries to make up for the shortage of Han's music theory by studyingThis thesis consists of five parts:Part 1: Intensively research on the written time of Yuewei, by comparing some parts of Yuewei with Zhuzi philosophy, with the classic of Confucianism and necromancy of Confucian scholars as the clue.Part 2: The process of inheritance from Yuejing to Yuewei. As it has always been a great many criticisms on the existence of Yuejing, this paper is a systematic effort to arrange and analyze the compile and spread of Yuewei, especially on how Yueji replaced the lost Yuejing and became a classic. While on the process of inheritance, Ying-Yang and Wu-Xing theory was a significant clue. Here the writer tries to study how Yuewei handed down and developed the music theory of pre-Qin.Part 3: Systematically collated the content of Yuewei. The music theory is of the sovereign importance. This dissertation mainly discusses the source of music, the use of music, the instrument of music, the tone-system of music, and at the end of this part, historical theories and system of Yuewei is added, any other things are discussed here.Part 4: Research on the music explaining model of Yuewei. The musical theory of Yuewei is different from the orthodox Confucian theory, because of the unique characteristic of Chenwei literature. The researcher will show us the differences.Part5: The influence of Yuewei on political in Han dynasty. As part of the Chenwei literature, which had huge effect on political, Yuewei plays an important role in the Han dynasty's construction of political and culture. Comparing with other Weishu resources, this part will discuss the political problems reflected by Yuewei.
