In the aspect of international relations before the Second World War,Germany-Italy relation occupied a very important position. The development and change of bilateral relations produced profound influence to history progress in the whole world. In the early 1930s,since German and Italy had a strategic contradiction on the problem of Austria and South Tyrol, and later Italy established the Stresa Front with England and France trying to restrict German,a large contradiction existed in them and their relationship once became quite tense.Soon afterwards, due to Hitler's powerful support for Italy's occupation of Ethiopia and Mussolini's acquiesce in German reoccupation of the Rhineland area, their relation began to warm up.As German had a strategic advantage over the countries in Mid-Europe,Italy's attitude towards the problem of Austria and South Tyrol was changing quietly. Finally,as the Berlin Rome axis came into being and Germany-Italy interfered in Spanish civil war jointly, their relation became increasingly close and finally formed Pact of Steel to complete the important strategic procedure of launching the world war.
