Comparative Study On The Characteristics Of The Folk Pottery Art In Shaanxi

This paper discusses the characteristics and values of the folk pottery art,pointing out the urgency and necessity of the study and conservation of it.It discusses the main aspects of the study of the folk pottery art in Shaanxi Province.This study base in the analysis of the sample production of the two representative towns of civil ceramics production which is ChenLu and YaoTou in Shaanxi Province. It analysis and summarize the characteristics of the folk pottery art from the product skill,form,glaze and decorative.I hope this paper will play a role in the drawing of further research,conservation and development of Shaanxi folk pottery art in the future.This article pointed out that folk pottery art in Shaanxi has the significance of intangible cultural heritage.It also describes the practical significance and the enlightenment of this research in modern pottery art.Finally,it gives a suggestion of "integrative conservation" of the folk pottery art in Chenlu and Yaotou.
