This thesis focuses learner autonomy, its theoretical background and influencing factors in order to study English extracurricular activities under its implication. This study takes the observation, reflection journal, interview and questionnaire as the main methods to discuss the significance of English extracurricular activities. The creation of this thesis is that it takes English Corner with richness and diversity as the main example and the English Morning Reading which is simple to organize and familiar to the teachers and learners as the collateral evidence instead of selecting a typical English extracurricular activity as an objective or studying all kinds of extracurricular activities.This research aims to discuss the result of the English extracurricular activities in English teaching and learning and hopes to make the educators realize its importance and combine the classroom teaching with the teaching after class and to make the learners participate such kind of activities so as to cultivate their interests in language learning.
