Bernard Bosanquet thinks highly of ugliness and lists it as an individual branch of Aesthetics. Based on his heritage and consistency of Hegelian dialectic in Aesthetic theory, Bosanquet discuses ugliness censoriously. Bosanquet thought during a concrete and causal process, pure negation does not exist. He finds that some 'ugliness' and beauty can be in dialectical unity, and some can not. However, he opposes Schopenhauerian opinion, and can not believes that ugliness is an imperfect representation of will. After discussion, the conclusion of Bosanquet is that some invincible ugliness is discarded from true aesthetics and only exists in 'the region of necessarily and affected art'. Besides, some 'apparent ugliness' can be appreciated by strong feelings and will become some advanced beauty.
