Imperial edict was named in the Qin Dynasty firstly. Han Dynasty, in particular, the Western Han Dynasty was stylistic and formative period about stereotype of imperial edict. Western Han Dynasty imperial edict related to politics, economy, culture, law, military and so on , which was the most direct and comprehensive study of the Western Han culture. From the philology and stylistics study, this article analysed the meaning, name and history of the edict style, which drew a conclusion that some spell songs of Paleozoic songs were ancient ancestors of imperial edict. In fact, "Shang Shu" was the direct source of imperial edict, "Shi Jing" had a great impact on the formation of the imperial edict. From the political point of view, this article examined the drafting and promulgating of the Western Han Dynasty imperial edict. It believed that drafting and promulgating experienced three major changes, the core of which was the strengthening of authoritarian regimes. The authority of imperial edict was safeguarded by censuring and abolishing edict in Western Han Dynasty. Refuting edict reflected few democracy and reason atmosphere, but didn't implemented. From the historical point of view, the imperial edict in Western Han dynasty gradually showed Confucianism characteristics. According to this history, as well as the main contents of the changes in imperial edict, imperial edict of the Western Han Dynasty can be divided into four periods. From a literary point of view, the Western Han emperors fully expressed the political ideals and political opinion in the imperial edict by a literary way and reflected their literary talent. This Mainly embodied in the image, the lyrical and the chapter and diction. From an aesthetic point of view, this article inspected the aesthetic significance of the Western Han Dynasty imperial edict. Imperial edict of Western Han reflected the rationalism, elegance, power beauty. From cultural perspective, this article examined the Cultural Implication about imperial edict of the Western Han Dynasty, practical rationality, harmony between man and nature, the idea of the three aspects of cultural significance, affected the whole of the Han Dynasty, became the core culture of the entire Chinese nation.
