A Study On The Development And Characteristic Of Korean Horror Film

Since the end of the 19 century, Korean film has been growing up gradually in Asia. Korean domestic films on the film market have been expanding, not only in quantity, but also in quality.Its types of the film synchronously come forth in large numbers. Of the South Korean films,horror movies as a unique type of film market at home and abroad have been a good word-of-mouth and box office receipts. This paper first from the point of the world film's history focus on the development and history of the horror movies. On the basis of the accumulation about certain terrorist-related film's academic knowledge,we'll analyze the development of the Korean horror film and its internal and external features, which convey the Korean national characteristics and cultural meaning style with the image of film.Then we'll analyze Korea horror film how to open markets at home and abroad in the short developping history and abtain some results on the motion picture arts , at the same time sum up South Korea's strong points and weaknesses of the film . Through this exposition, analysis and summing up,we'll be in an attempt to reflect the current development of the Chinese horror movie where the defects and limitations, and we hope to offer the way to find out more practical significance of the Chinese horror movie's future.In this paper, with "Introduction" and "Conclusion", there is a total of four parts, divided into three chapters. There are two sections in the first chapter, that is " on the horror film's overall research." Section I is introduced, and described "horror movie" related to academic knowledge, including the definition of terrorism and the form of film studies; the second section of this chapter is introduced, the analysis of the Korean horror movie's development process and the status quo. In general, South Korean horror movie has a short development time, but is good to learn from other countries to show the Korean country's customs,and gradually steps out the way of producing Korean characteristics and high-quality horror movies.The second chapter of "South Korea's external characteristics of the horror movie" is a detailed analysis of the Korean horror movie narrative patterns and means of expression. In section I, "South Korean horror movie narrative style," with the use of the abstract concept of film theory and practice of combining research methods, we'll describe and analyze the main theme in the narrative, the narrative image of the narrative of space, narrative perspective, and other aspects of horror film. Section II is about the more specific analysis of the Korean horror movie's audio-visual language, including the use of the camera, stereo color, and so on.The third chapter is focused on analysis of the Korean horror movie's cultural identity. Sectionâ… is about the main social contradictions reflected by Korean terror films; Sectionâ…¡tells us the image of women in Korean society's moral values linked to some analysis of the presentation in the Korean horror film; Sectionâ…¢is to focus on South Korea embodied in the horror movie By the traces of foreign culture and its impact on history.
