Emir Kusturica is perhaps the only "Walter" in the current film world to defend the national film of Yugoslavia. He is well-known in the world of film and is also one of the directors who got the Golden Palm Award in the Cannes Film Festival twice. Due to his special background of nationality, the research about director Kusturica has not begun. Related articles and literatures are also very rare. This paper will make an explorative research from a multi-dimensional perspective, like the personal life of this director, his creative thinking process, directing style and performance practice, aesthetic characteristics of the films, and the national geographic and cultural impact on their art production.This paper firstly makes a brief introduction about the life of Emir Kusturica, which involves the introduction of historical, religious, cultural, ethnic aspects of Yugoslavia , the history of development of the film in Yugoslavia ,and the influence of its uniqueness of film style and the ideology to the creation style of the Eastern Europe films during their prosperous filming time. It also includes the performance of the two native schools of Belgrade and Zagreb in the films, and different directors'analysis to the application of the unique audio-visual film languages at different stages , which extended its film narrative style of combining civil humorous culture and Baroque black humor as one of the visual images, then it interprets the unique audio-visual language in the film through the creative thinking of "integration"and proceeds to put forward " Kusturica style" with the definition and suitable explanation of this term. It tries to make an explorative research and discussion about the innovative argumentative point of the realization of"Baroque black humor"and"Bizarre Aesthetics"in Kusturica's films by applying the research mode of thinking. Gypsy music is an important component of Kusturica's films. Almost in every film of Kusturica's, the shadow of Gypsy music can be found. To show a special cultural system and some certain geographical characteristics, as well as the personality features of the people under this kind of cultural characteristics. Gypsy music is the most powerful tool to display this special cultural system. Therefore, the customs with strong ethnic characteristics shown in Kusturica's film become a powerful vector to propaganda Slavic culture.This paper adopted the deductive method and empirical methods. The main study was divided into three separate chapters: creative thinking, director's practice and aesthetic features. The director's film works will be chosen as the entry point. Through analyzing the works and combine them separately into the main argument points by using the works as evidence, if necessary, use the picture or diagram form as the Visualizing complements to the corresponding points. By using the discussion way of vertical depth and the horizontal expansion, the papers forms a various three-dimensional structure in the overall framework of the paper.
