Study On Urban Graffiti Art

Graffiti art as a new Environment art may has a short relatively history ,but it is developing fast, and it has managed to touch almost every corner of the world. As it developing, graffiti art meets strong doubted and opposition for its background, emotion characteristic,visual language and the impact to urban environment.Graffiti art is changing from edge arts to mainstream culture, and it rapidly transmit in the form of fashion,avant-garde and personality.So graffiti and its influnce on urban environment are causing more and more concern. When it comes into China, graffiti art which is at the initial stage of development grows up in Chinese mode, subjecting to the public will and the permission of the government. The chinese-mode graffiti art is developing vigorously, and it is also greatly influencing and changing the urban environment in China.This paper is divided into seven parts to carry on a research about urban graffiti art. Part one is the overall Introduction. It elaborates the background, content, means and frameworks of the essay. Part two starts with the concept of graffiti art, and it distinguishes graffiti and graffiti art, then it elaborates how the graffiti art developed as a nascent art gradually became mature. Part three and part four elaborate on the unique expression ways and representation of graffiti art separately,in order to find out the reasons why graffiti art influences urban environment. Part five compares graffiti art and other closely related art forms , carries on the research from many aspects, such as the vehicle, subject matter ,theme, expression ways, vision characteristic and spirit characteristic of graffiti art. Part six analyzes the influence of graffiti art upon the urban environment and urban residents deeply from various angles. The final part studies and analyzes the chinese-mode graffiti art by investigating the graffiti art street in Chongqing, and tries to put forward its own proposals.
