The Influence Of Chinese Ancient Arehitechture On Japan

Chinese ancient architecture has long history and profound culture connotations, whose elegant mould characteristics and special structure technology are famous in the world architecture history. In the past several thousand years, from the formation to the mature development, Chinese ancient architecture has the best building civiliazation and advanced technology, which not only have broguht Chinese people the rare history and culture heritage, but also have influenced the neighbour conutries. Japan, the nearest neighbour, is the faithful follower of Chinese ancient achitecture culture. From the earlier imitation of Chinese ancient achitecture culture to the later reference and assimilation, Japanese architecture embodies the influence of Chinese ancient architecture.According to the suggestion and advice of the supervisor and the study interest, the author tries to comapre the Chinese and Japanese ancient architecture charateristics to explain the influence of Chinese ancient architecture on Japan with the archeology method and materials.The thesis first explains and compares the influences of Chinese ancient architecture on Japan from the culture, structure and technology, etc. Then the author continues to explore the influences of Chinese ancient architecture, especially in the palace and temple architecture, according to the time, from primitive society, Sui Dynasty, Tang Dynasty to Song Dynasty. Moreover, the profound and typical ancient architecture relics and tecknology systems are analyzed. Through the interweaving of two research lines, the overall influences of Chinese ancient architecture on Japan are discussed clearly, to reflect the acceptance and assimilation of Chinese architecture culture, and the formation of Japanese architecture charateristics in the ancient times.According to the influences of Chinese ancient architecture on Japan in the different times and fields, the profound philosophy and rich artistic characteristics of Chinese ancient architecture are explained. Through the research, the ideology and effective methods for Japan to refer, develop and integrate Chinese culture are discussed. The study is very useful for Chinese to protect and carry forward splendid Chinese architecture culture.
