The Anglo-American literary theory as "New Criticism" originated during the 20th century, 20, developed during 30thand40th.And, in the middle of the 20th century, it became the leading literary critics and the mainstream in the United States.Although in the late fifties, the New Criticism have been declined, its promotion and practice of text analysis is still one of the basic methods of literary criticism.The rising of New Criticism in the United States could not be separated from the promoting of the South of,and J.C.Ransom is one of the representatives.
