Uygur clergies in Hetian and Kashgar regions of Xinjiang belong to a special community. What they say and do play a strong appeal and exemplary role in masses of people who believe in religion. It is a bridge to communicate government and them. They often play a leading role among masses of believers. Therefore, the analysis of the status quo of Uygur clergies in two regions will not only influence the development of Islam and social stabilization, but also provide valuable reference for the Party and government to work out principles, policies and measures.Literature, material analysis, statistical charts, graphics contrast and other methods have been used to analyze the status quo of the Uygur clergies in Hetian and Kashgar from macro perspective. The status quo contains Uygur religious distribution, post composition, age structure, ideological and political conditions, cultural knowledge, everyday activities, training and ideological situations. Through in depth analysis of the status quo. It is supposed that aging still exists among religious people in two regions. And status and prestige are not high; the level of knowledge imbalance still exists among middle-aged and young religious people. The problems existing among Uygur clergies have been considered and some immature strategies have been provided in this thesis.The analysis of status quo among religious people aims at leading the religion to adapting to socialism society, and building a harmonious and stable Xinjiang. On the one hand, we are required to treat the status quo of them objectively and find deficiencies; on the other hand, it is supposed to strengthen the management and training of religious people, solve the existing problems, play an active part in bridging religious people, in order to contribute more to building a harmonious Xinjiang.
