Narrative Strategy On Our Ancestors

Italo Calvino , a writer of international reputation in the contemporary literary world , was known to the readers with a large number of his works of translations into foreign in the 1990s. Thus a wave of study of Calvino began, and started a craze. The novel our ancestors published in 1957 by Calvino interested many researchers. They analyze the novel from different aspects , such as aesthetics, the theme , ecology, and semeiology . But in the current study, there is not a systematic narrative techniques and has his own creations in the narrative strategy. The author believes that Calvino both has inherited the traditional novel techniques and has his own creations in the narrative strategy. The thesis applies the narrative theory to his works to explore the narrative mode , attempting analyze four aspects , including the possible construction of the World ,provoking marking, and complementary narrative perspective, and thought-provoking narrative voice .in order to unveil the aesthetic meanings and the value points in his fictions.
