| Positive-negative questions, as a very important category in interrogative sentences in modern Chinese, former scholars have achieved massive outstanding achievements on it, however, few of them can be employed by computer. In order to enable the computer to recognize the construction of positive-negative questions, figure out its question focus and give out proper answer forms, there is a necessity to make a further study of the positive-negative questions and its focuses and answers. This thesis took positive-negative questions and its focuses and answers as the topic, summarized the predecessor's related research, established the research methods and steps, by classifying the positive-negative questions and orderly analyzing all the example sentences, as well as taking the questionnaire results as a consideration, accordingly found out a series of syntax rules and statistic regularities about positive-negative questions and its focuses and answers, which were further unified and formally described into formalization rules that can be employed by computer. At the end of this thesis, a prospect to the future research was presented. This thesis was divided into seven chapters:The first chapter, the introduction part, presented the subject of this thesis, the reason of choosing such a subject and the research significance, as well as the research methods and steps. The second chapter is the literature review of the related research. We divided all the literatures on positive-negative questions approximately into three classes, namely about the interrogative questions, the positive-negative questions and the interrogative questions'question focuses and answers. The third chapter figured out the classification of modern Chinese positive-negative questions, they were"Vä¸/没(有)V","Aä¸/没(有)A","Dä¸/没(有)D"and"Pä¸/没(有)P". And then it discussed the constructions of these four classes of positive-negative questions according to using situation and construction. The fourth chapter discussed the question focuses and the constructions of answers of the former four classes'questions according to using situation and construction. The fifth chapter was the questionnaire survey part. The survey verified parts of the example sentences designed by the author himself that used in this thesis, and concluded lots of statistic regularities about positive-negative questions itself, and its question focuses as well as answers. This made a supplement to syntax rules. The sixth chapter was formalization, it formally described the syntax rules and statistic regularities into formal rules, which can be employed by computer. The seventh chapter was made up of two points, conclusion and prospect. It summarized the main contents of this thesis'research, presented the running situation of the computer program that based on the conclusion of this thesis, and presented a prospect to this research. |
